Quick Gun Murugan Movie Review

We thought it would be a fun film. Stupid Stupid thought! The tale of the original Indian cowboy, inspired by the quintessential ‘Bawliwud Ishtylish’ hero, Quick Gun Murugan is light years away from being anything funny.

Quick Gun Murugan is the first south Indian Cowboy. This movie will definitely remind the viewers of Rajnikant as it is based on a cameo done by Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’, where he had copied the Tamil Superstar.Quick Gun Murugan offers the audience something which will completely be a novel experience. The movie revolves around the fight between hero and villain. The duo is in fight for a ‘dosa’ recipe.

The villain, Rice Plate Reddy, which is essayed by ace Tamil actor, Nasser, abducts those women who hold the secret of the perfect recipe for making delicious dosas. The Villain wants to make best dosa in town. The movie takes the audience into a really crazy and funky world where the hero, Quick Gun Murugan, essayed by veteran Telugu actor, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, is depicted as a ‘super hero’.
The good and kind-hearted cowboy, Murugan, does everything which he is able to so that he can protect the common men from the villain. This movie is a typical hero-villain movie. The comedy battle between the hero and villain Rice Plate Reddy starts from a small South Indian village to Swarglok and then finally to the cosmopolitan Mumbai.

Hats off to the director, Shashanka Ghosh, for choosing such a novel idea for the movie. This is definitely a movie which is a welcome break from all the ‘masala’ stuffs which are being offered currently. The only minus point with the movie is the excessive use of Tamil, which may cause the movie not to be preferred by many.

Quick Gun Murugan Movie Review Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Nasser have done really well and given their best. Rambha has also made strong comeback to silver screen with her character, Mango Dolly.

Anu Menon has done justice to her character. The other characters as well as the technical aspects of the movie are also praise-worthy.

In short, Quick Gun Murugan is a movie which will be as delicious as ‘Davangere Butter Dosa’.

While many people have been loudly celebrating this year's double commemoration of 200 years since Charles Darwin's birth and 150 years since the publication of On the Origin of Species, another scientific anniversary has crept up relatively quietly, marking an event which arguably changed human thought and the way we see ourselves even more irrevocably.

Exactly 400 years ago today, on 25 August 1609, the Italian astronomer and philosopher Galilei Galileo showed Venetian merchants his new creation, a telescope – the instrument that was to bring him both scientific immortality and, more immediately, a whole lot of trouble.

A refinement of models first devised in the Netherlands, Galileo's slim, brown stick was puny even by the standards of something one might buy in hobby shop today. But his eight-powered telescope, and the more powerful models he soon produced, when pointed skywards led Galileo to a series of groundbreaking conclusions.

The moon was not, as long believed, completely smooth. Another planet, Jupiter, also had moons. Meanwhile Venus showed a range of moon-like phases, something which could not happen if both it and the sun orbited the earth.

This latter phenomenon had been predicted by Nicolaus Copernicus when, nearly a century before, he had proposed the notion of a planetary system with the sun at the centre, not the earth.
Galileo's discoveries were, perhaps predictably, not best welcomed by the Catholic church, and he spent the final decade of his life under house arrest.

It was certainly a revelation which upset the orthodoxies – and the churches – at least as much as Darwin's, and perhaps merits a bit more of fuss, although museum-goers in Philadelphia and Stockholm can view one of Galileo's very early telescopes, on loan this year from Florence. A good deal more people are likely to be alerted thanks to Google's day-long adaptation of their main page logo to a Google Doodle in honour of the event.

Sona is happy about the response to her debut album, that has been eliciting. She prides herself in being a live performer, who is not saddled by images or labels. She wants to make her own music with her own band, rather than following trends. Her album was made possible by a meeting with composer Ram Sampath nearly five years ago. The duo planned to do an album with quality music that is satisfying to the artist's soul, rather than worrying about how to make the album sell. However, they began actual work on the album only two years ago. The rest of the team for the album are Munna Dhiman for the lyrics and Anand Surapur as the music video's director, They were chosen, based on the caliber of their work. Sona was also influenced by Hindi film music and many genres. Sona is one of the few singers on the music scene today, that has made it on her own talent without depending on ‘computer’ music or other gimmicks. She is happy, that she was not in a hurry to make it. Many singers, she feels, simply want the fame and money, and not focused on music. Sona was always focused on becoming a singer, and not on the frills that fame provided. Sona is married to Ad jingle and Music Composer Ram Sampath.
